Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Now that it’s baking season, I tend to bake a few loaves each week for home, family or friends. My go to is normally Banana Nut Bread but this past week I wanted to try a new recipe. I’ve personally never had Chocolate Chip Banana Bread but my husband was craving some so I experimented and was so happy with how simple and quick this recipe was! You literally throw everything in one bowl and that’s it.
I really enjoyed it and I hope you do too!

Ingredients:

  • 4 spotted bananas
  • 1/3 cup of butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F and in a bowl, add the bananas and mash until smooth and then add the melted butter and stir.

Add the sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda, salt, flour and chocolate chips. Stir until well combined and smooth.

Once well combined, pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. You can also top with additional chocolate chips.

Bake for 50 minutes to an hour or until a toothpick comes out clean. Loaf should be a golden brown color.

Cool on a wire rack for 10 mins and then slice and serve!
