Small Goals:

I set a spiritual goal this month which is a very small goal for some but something of importance to me.

At one time I used to report at least 10-15 hours out in the ministry a month but I started to struggle once my work schedule varied.
I then began to report only 4-6 hours a month.
This month I can proudly report 10 hours along with several distributed tracts and magazines.

I was belittling my small goal until my friend Lu sent me this text:

“That’s huge.
Some people can even get in a full hour
Those ten hours are ten hours
A brother gave a talk the other day. If a publisher spoke to a person for 5 minutes every day, that’s two and a half hours a month. 8 million witnesses. That’s 20 million hours a month.
That’s 240 million hours a year. All that would be unreported if we didn’t report even the smallest of time we put in.”

When I feel discouraged about the hours I put in from now on, I will think of the importance of Lu’s words:

“All that would be unreported if we didn’t report even the smallest of time we put in.”

  1. How encouraging!! Small goals are the stepping stones that bring you to bigger realities! 👍 when you are busy trying to support yourself, it can be hard to make time to reach service goals. But when you make an effort, Jehovah definitely blesses you!
